The MP elected on the list of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Dumitru Alaiba, implies that his party colleagues would wait for the resignation of the general prosecutor, Alexandr Stoianoglo. Alaiba wrote about this in a post published on a social network.
The General Prosecutor, Alexandr Stoianoglo, would no longer hold the position of Head of the General Prosecutor’s Office. This is the opinion of the expert in constitutional law, according to which Stoianoglo will resign voluntarily. The statements in this regard were made public at a national television station. Recently, the constitutional law expert, Teodor Cârnaț declared that the general prosecutor, Alexandr Stoianoglo would resign from the position of head of the General Prosecutor’s Office, specifying that Stoianoglo will voluntarily leave office.
It should be mentioned that for several days, the criticisms against the chief prosecutor have not stopped appearing both from the society and from the PAS members.
In a TV show, the president of PAS, Igor Grosu, was disappointed by the activity of Alexandr Stoianoglo at the General Prosecutor’s Office, claiming that he had high expectations since the appointment of Stoianoglo, but did not see much progress, especially in resonance files.
President Maia Sandu warned the Prosecutor’s Office that “a serious reform couldn’t be reached”. The statement was made in an interview for Free Europe, asking if it could reach the request for the resignation of Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo.
